Come on MAG is a good game with a few faults. Its funny that you 'wouldn't change anything in MAG' and agree with the article that states Mass Effect's many faults. To me Mass Effect is the much better game but each to their own.

Well not really seeing as MS reported 38.7 million shipped as of Dec 31st. Vgchartz claimed they sold 36.6 million by then leaving 2.1 million on store shelves. Are they right? Who knows.
SO VGC has the ps3 at 30.8 sold to consumers by Dec 31st. So going off the 360 they may be expecting 32.9 million shipped by sony when they announce figures on feb 4th. I think they are slightly low on the ps3 tbh although the site has said they are in the middle of ad...

I may be reading your analysis wrong but aren't edge's reviews more than 3 points below the 360 meta average. I calculate 7.3 points which is significant also. Mayybe they are biased against HD? We must check the wii scores!
Although finding reviewers that favour the wii would be a challenge, especially discovering its edge.
EDIT: Ah you've taken the median scores instead of the average which makes it look worse. Sorry!
VGC has it in the lead in Europe doesn't it? The 360 is boosted in others by quite strong sales in markets such as Korea and Mexico according to VGC. Mexico I can certainly believe with the piracy.

If true though, Sony's videogame business is more than the ps3. The ps2 is a phenomenon and right now is a nice little cash cow for Sony. The ps3 will claw back profits from its awesome software but Sony themselves have said that they think the ps3 hadware will be profitable by late 2010.

Apart from that Sony have done to turn things around. I think we should wait until Sony officially say the ps3 hardware is profitable before assuming it. Sony is a huge company and the profits could come from many sources.
Profits should mean good games though and that benefits everyone.

I didn't disagree but you may have been disagreed with because you do not see the context in which the comments were made. We know you are a Sony fanboy and there is nothing wrong with that but do you really think a PR statement telling people to work more just to afford a product they are selling for a huge price is sensible? As for your example of MS claiming they estimated to consumers and this was the only time they have supposedly cliamed this - I have already explained this to you. Any compnay can estimate sold to consumers and in your link that is what MS did. Theres no need to go into a whole conspiracy theory because it doesn't fit your logic. Sony estimate...

I don't see anyone above bashing MAG or anyone coming up with a whole new account just to bash the game (see Mass Defect or whatever he is). No need to be defensive about disagrees, its N4G.
Seems to me xbox fans have it worse for disagrees whilst wii fans get trolled more than anyone for no reason. PS3 fans are numerous here but that doesn't stop BS 'ps3 is failing articles.' Its N4G and it is what it is.

Totally agree that they should have spent more time with MAG but that wasn't my point. 7.6 is a good score and used to be considered a score worthy of a must buy game if your a fan of the genre. This is a good score, but is it accurate? Given the nature of MAG which is online only, probably not.

7.6 is more than a mediocre score. Back when reviews were legitimate this was a very good score. Unfortunately upset fanboys seem to deem anything below a 9 a flop.

Gotta love some random sticking his head in the sand and saying they have actually only sold 35 million with no proof whatsoever and actually thinking he is right. MS have stated they had sold 39 million to retailers. To consumers more like 37-37.5 million - like what vgchartz has it at.
Theres a thread on vgchartz forums comparing their numbers to NPD. VGC is usually quite close (especially with the 360 and ps3) in America with only the wii occassionally off by about 10-15%. If you actually paid attention to what they do and how they have tried to improve their data then you wouldn't making sweeping biased comments so often.
